Have you ever encountered a strange visual coincidence while out and about and thought “Hey, that’s pretty cool!”?
Well, so has photographer Pau Buscató. He has been capturing said visual coincidences that he spots in Oslo, Norway as well as all over the world for eight years now.
His series is titled “Hopscotch,” as a reference to the children’s game that I think it’s obvious to say we all played in grade school.

“The way I like to work in street photography is not very project-friendly, because I prefer not to narrow my vision down to a certain theme, but rather stay open to anything that I might find interesting,” Buscató says.
“It’s a very intuitive way of working, based on trusting my instincts and not limiting myself to preconceived ideas or themes. If there’s some consistency in my work is because all of it comes from the same place: candid, creative and playful observation, and the intention to let an illogical dimension infiltrate into our mundane, ordinary world, ” he adds.
Let’s take a look at some of the stuff he has captured over the years!
1. Double umbrella trouble!
2. Just not feeling it today
3. From one animal to another
4. Johnny Storm, is that you?
5. Look here!
6. The wind is blowing strong!
7. Feeling yellow
8. What you lookin’ at?
9. The bunny ears trick has evolved
10. Umbrella on the other side
12. Shadows are alive!
13. That case fits in there perfectly and I have a strange need to place it there.
14. Taking flight!
