When talking about our faces, let’s face it – it’s pretty in your face (pun intended). But that’s about the only joke I can make right now because I kind of feel for Carrie Underwood. The singer, actress, and all-around celebrity has suffered severe facial injuries last November.
Underwood fell and broke her wrist, but also hurt her face pretty badly. According to her, the wound was so terrible it took 4o-50 stitches.
One can only imagine how much damage that can do to one’s face. But the star is slowly working her way into a full disclosure, and it must be very difficult for her.
On New Year’s Day, the thirty-four-year-old shared a post on her personal blog, sharing with her fans that she’s “not quite looking the same.”
“There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about, since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up. It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life. In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well,” she said.
Underwood also added that she’s thankful that her injuries weren’t worse. We still don’t know just how bad her injuries are, but we hope she’s right. She does sound worried, though.
“I’m hoping that, by then, the differences are minimal, but, again, I just don’t know how it’s all going to end up,” she anxiously concluded.
Carrie Underwood posted a photo on Instagram just five days ago, but there’s not much to see. Except, well, her face almost completely covered with a scarf.
Due to the accident, Underwood had to cancel her performance at the Country Rising benefit show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
The famous singer said she’ll be in the studio as early as next week. Her last album release was back in 2015, titled “Storyteller.”
Wishing you a quick recovery, Carrie!
