Now let’s all hold hands and say: WHAT?
But yeah. Some people like piercings and tattoos (thank God that’s not taboo anymore), other people collect stuffed toys, some like S/M and this guy likes dressing up like a dog.
Not just any dog. A Dalmatian!
Not shocked enough? There’s a whole community of people that like to live life on all fours, bound by a collar!
The Dalmatian among them is called Tom Peters, he’s 32 and appeared on the British show This Morning. His canine name?
And he’s totally committed to his dog persona.
He’s the whole package: sleeps in a cage, walks on all fours, eats dog treats from a bowl. But since a pup’s gotta eat, a Tom’s gotta work, so when he’s human, he works as a lighting and theater technician.
On the show, he discussed his unique lifestyle and tried to spread awareness about the misconceptions that people have about those who assume alternative identities.
“People think of it as seedy and that no one should see it,” Tom said. “But we’re not there to cause mischief, we’re there to have fun and literally be treated like a puppy.”
He insisted that “it’s not a sexual thing. It is a lifestyle, it’s just escapism. To get away from money and the hectic lifestyle we have.”
He did suggest that it could be a “catalyst” and “lead on” to other things, though. “Because you relax and unwind, you could start from being a puppy and lead onto something in the bedroom,” he added.

Who is this woman that keeps appearing with him, though? Apparently, that’s his human, coming in the form of his ex-fiance, Rachel Watson.
How does she deal with this?
Well, her and Spot did call off the engagement back in 2008 because, well, Spot. But she insists that they remain the best of friends and that they’re no closer than they were when they had a relationship.
She also admitted that the documentary The Secret Life of the Human Pups which had Tom in it helped her understand a bit more on the subject.
Spot has another philosophy to share:
“We do roleplay as a child, so why can’t we do it as an adult?”
Here we have a ‘sit’ situation:
On a less weird puppy note, Instagram user topherbrophy dedicated his account to pictures of him and his dog dressed exactly the same, which we can grasp much more easily than Spot, to whom we wish all the best, by the way.
And you have to see how cute that is:
